About My Studio
Welcome to my treatment studio...
I created this space in 2012 with a desire to serve the community.
I love what I do. I am fortunate to have studied the Classical Form of Acupuncture and to now share it with Provincetown.
This is a safe, comfortable and quiet space. I invite you to join me in treating whatever is causing you pain or discomfort.
I look forward to meeting you very soon.

About the Medicine
-
Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine practiced over 2000 years. It serves to balance and reintegrate mind, body and spirit.
-
Acupuncture treatments work with Qi (pronounced Chee), the motive force of life to restore health and expel disease from the body
-
It can be used as preventative medicine for general well being.
-
Additionally, Classical Acupuncture is highly effective for the treatment of acute or chronic pain and illness of the body, mind and spirt.
-
Acupuncture points are mainly (but not always) found at specified locations along the meridians. There are also a number of acupuncture points with specified locations outside of the meridians; these are called 'extraordinary' points and often credited with special therapeutic properties.
-
The main difference between Classical Chinese medicine and TCM (the modern form) is the theory of pathological progression involving the physical, spiritual and emotional being from outside the body to the deepest level of the organs.
-
There are five separate Meridian systems that are applied within the form of Classical acupuncture. These five systems are based on progression theory which leads to the myriad of problems that occur manifesting illness. Classical Acupuncture looks to correct these illnesses at the root of their origin.
-
Upon reaching a diagnosis, treatment is carried out with a specific pattern of Acupuncture needles. This allows the body's natural systems to reintigrate and correct unbalanced pathological mechanisms. It works on the physical, spiritual and emotional levels of the body, mind and soul.
